The Domestic Savages show included the German series, plus a diorama in a large glass case. This comprised a number of 3D animal-human hybrids with a large collaged natural environment as a background. The world within the case depicts what happens when women escape from their domestic servitude. The resultant animal-human hybrids are influenced by multiple sources, such as Greek mythology (centaurs, fauns, chimera, etc.), Dadaism, and dystopian visions such as that portrayed in Margaret Atwood's novel "The Year of the Flood".
The images are in sequence, starting with the creation of the hybrids, the collage background, the mockup installation at home, then images from the final installation in the glass case... which wasn't easy to photograph!
